Poem: Nothing Brown Can Fade

Joylanda Jamison
June 19, 2023
Poetry

Heaven’s first love is brown,

No sweeter tone is found.

Her beloved one clothed in power;

But only so an hour.

Not knowing death was brief,

Sin drowned his heart in grief.

So savor dawn’s third day.

Nothing brown can fade.
